Refund Event Held from the 23rd to the 27th
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs will hold the 'Seolnal Traditional Market Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event' at 188 traditional markets nationwide from the 23rd to the 27th to reduce consumer price burdens during the Lunar New Year holiday. This event refunds up to 30% of the purchase amount in Onnuri gift certificates, with a limit of 20,000 KRW per person, to consumers who purchase domestic agricultural and livestock products at traditional markets.

Consumers who purchase domestic agricultural and livestock products at traditional markets during the event period can visit the refund booth in the market with their receipt and ID for identity verification and receive a refund in Onnuri gift certificates. If the purchase amount is between 34,000 KRW and less than 67,000 KRW, they will receive 10,000 KRW; if it is 67,000 KRW or more, they will receive 20,000 KRW.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs is investing a record-high 15 billion KRW this Lunar New Year to conduct the event mainly at 160 representative traditional markets in the regions. However, as part of proactive administration during the market selection process, an additional 28 traditional markets adjacent to participating markets were added, making a total of 188 markets participating in the refund event. A refund booth will be installed at Namguro Market, and agricultural and livestock product stores from both Namguro Market and Guro Market will jointly conduct the event.
Song Miryeong, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, "This year, we expanded the scale of the refund event and the participating markets to ease the price burden of Lunar New Year seasonal products and to enhance consumer convenience," adding, "We hope this event will help reduce the household burden of citizens who visit traditional markets to purchase food for the Lunar New Year ancestral rites table and family meals."
