‘My Hot Price’ Runs Until the 26th
Differentiated by Customer Participation in Selecting Discount Items
Lotte Mart and its supermarkets announced on the 20th that they will carry out the price control campaign ‘The Hot’ to lower grocery basket prices.
The Hot is a campaign conducted by Lotte Mart for customers who feel burdened by high prices and high exchange rates when shopping, consisting of ▲My Hot Price ▲This Week’s Hot Price ▲Hot PB of the Month ▲Group Purchase Hot Deals.
My Hot Price is a promotion that selects discounted product categories through customer voting. Voting takes place through the Lotte Mart GO app every odd month (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11). One item from the product category with the highest votes is introduced as This Week’s Hot Price product.
Customers who participate in the voting will receive discount coupons usable at Lotte Mart and its supermarkets, limited to the first 10,000 participants. My Hot Price is most differentiated from existing promotions that are unilaterally decided by retailers. This is because it is an interactive communication promotion that directly reflects customer needs. This month’s My Hot Price voting targets were selected as rice (10kg) and instant rice, which are the basics of home-cooked meals, and the discount event is scheduled to take place in February.
This Week’s Hot Price is a super low-price discount event that selects three items every week to break price conventions. The items for This Week’s Hot Price were chosen to meet demand for the Lunar New Year, selecting popular items such as pork ribs, octopus, and ham. ‘Domestic Pork Ribs (700g, refrigerated, domestic)’ will be sold at 8,900 KRW with a 6,000 KRW discount when paid with an event card from the 23rd to the 27th for five days. ‘Domestic Boiled Octopus (100g, refrigerated, domestic)’ will be offered at a final discounted price of 3,354 KRW, more than 40% cheaper than the regular price, by combining the seafood festival discount and card discount until the 29th. ‘Mokwoochon Housewives’ 9th Dan Lean Ham (1kg)’ will also be sold at a discounted price of 9,980 KRW.
‘Hot PB of the Month’ and ‘Group Purchase Hot Deals’ offer Lotte Mart’s private brand and exclusive planned products at the lowest prices of the year. In Hot PB of the Month, ‘Yorihada Frozen Pollack Pancake (300g)’ and ‘Today’s Good Sikhye (238ml×12 packs)’ are each discounted by 1,000 KRW, offered at 4,990 KRW and 5,990 KRW respectively. ‘Group Purchase Hot Deal Whale Brand Skewered Fish Cake (526g)’ is offered at 6,940 KRW, and ‘Group Purchase Hot Deal Shower Mate Flower Perfume Body Wash (1200ml, Yellow)’ is provided at 4,900 KRW.
