Students Can Choose One Subject from Korean, English, or Mathematics

Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 19th that it signed a business agreement with Daekyo Co., Ltd. on the 17th to support the "Self-Directed Learning Support Project for Children from Vulnerable Groups."

Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi Province and Daekyo Sign Agreement to Support Self-Directed Learning for Underprivileged Children

This agreement was established to improve the academic achievement of Dream Start children from vulnerable groups (grades 1 to 6 in elementary school). The city will collaborate with Daekyo's Noonnoppi to provide visiting tutoring services and cover costs for Dream Start children who need learning guidance.


Through this business agreement, the city will support a monthly tuition fee of 37,000 KRW per child, and Daekyo Co., Ltd. will contribute 7,000 KRW. Students can choose one subject from Korean, English, or Mathematics.


Yoo Hana, CEO of Daekyo Noonnoppi Gyeonggi Gwangju Hive, said, "We are pleased to participate in the educational welfare project for children from vulnerable groups in cooperation with Gwangju City."


Mayor Bang Se-hwan stated, "Through this agreement, we expect positive effects such as cultivating self-directed learning abilities and increasing learning motivation among children from vulnerable groups," and added, "In 2025, we will continue to discover various welfare services through public-private cooperation to realize a 'Hopeful Change, Happy City Gwangju.'"
