"We Will Also Thoroughly Investigate Threatening Posts Against the Judge"
Acting Commissioner of the National Police Agency Lee Ho-young stated on the 19th that far-right YouTubers could also be subject to investigation in connection with the collective violence incident carried out by supporters of President Yoon Seok-yeol at the Seoul Western District Court.
Acting Commissioner Lee made these remarks to the press after visiting the Western District Court around 10:15 a.m. that day to inspect the damage situation.
When asked by reporters whether far-right YouTubers who incite protesters could be investigated, Acting Commissioner Lee said, "If they are related to the violent incident, we plan to investigate thoroughly."
Regarding threatening posts directed at the judge who issued the arrest warrant for President Yoon, he explained, "We will thoroughly investigate to find the person (who wrote the posts) and do our best to protect the judge's safety."
Acting Commissioner Lee emphasized, "This incident is a serious challenge to the rule of law," and added, "We will continue to respond strictly to illegal and violent protests."
