Senior Secretaries' Meeting Convened
Chaired by Chief Presidential Secretary Jeong Jin-seok
After the arrest of President Yoon Suk-yeol, the Presidential Secretariat and the National Security Office held a senior secretaries' meeting chaired by Chief Presidential Secretary Jeong Jin-seok on the morning of the 19th, agreeing to make every effort to manage diplomatic and security situations.
At the meeting, Chief Secretary Jeong urged, "Even in difficult political circumstances, public officials must each fulfill their respective roles to ensure stable governance."
The Presidential Office stated that, considering the changing international situation such as leadership changes in allied countries, the government will support the effective management of diplomatic and security affairs.
It also conveyed that the Presidential Office will cooperate with the Cabinet to take care of public livelihood by stably managing external variables such as high exchange rates, high interest rates, and high oil prices.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Jeong Jin-seok, National Security Office Director Shin Won-sik, Policy Office Director Sung Tae-yoon, along with other key senior secretaries and deputy chiefs.
