Seongra Badminton Court, built in 2006, has seen increasing demands for repairs of aging facilities and expansion of convenience facilities due to the growing number of users. Accordingly, the city secured 500 million KRW in provincial funds in 2024 to promote environmental improvement construction, which was completed in December last year.
The main construction included a full replacement of the worn-out gym floor at Seongra Court 1, deck maintenance around the entrance, floor reinforcement at Seongra Court 2, and expansion of the shower rooms and restrooms.

Meanwhile, Seongra Park, established in 1995, covers an area of approximately 570,000 square meters, making it the second largest park in Goyang City after Ilsan Lake Park. The park includes two badminton courts, tennis courts, children’s playground facilities, and nearby sports and cultural facilities such as Goyang Eoullim Nuri and soccer fields.
