Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyeong-deok) announced on the 17th that it held a meeting of the Dongducheon Emergency Medical Council on the 16th to strengthen the emergency medical response system during the Lunar New Year holiday period.

On this day, the Emergency Medical Council included four organizations: Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Provincial Council, Dongducheon Fire Station, and Dongducheon Jungang St. Mary's Hospital. The meeting was presided over by Vice Mayor Lee Tae-jin and attended by a total of 11 officials, including Provincial Council members Lim Sang-oh and Lee In-gyu, Fire Chief Choi Moon-seok, and Hospital Director Jo Hwang-rae.
The meeting was organized to minimize medical service gaps and strengthen the emergency medical system during the Lunar New Year holiday through cooperation among the participating organizations.
The main agenda items discussed were △ response directions for emergency patients during the Lunar New Year holiday △ establishment of an emergency medical system and current issues in preparation for the holiday △ sharing cooperation matters among related organizations during the holiday △ urging quarantine rules for influenza prevention △ and establishing and maintaining an emergency contact system among local related organizations.
Vice Mayor Lee Tae-jin said, “We are always striving to maintain a flawless emergency medical system during the Lunar New Year holiday and thank all related organizations for their active cooperation.” He added, “Since influenza is currently widespread, we ask everyone to strictly follow infectious disease prevention guidelines such as vaccination and wearing masks.”
