Pocheon City Holds Parent Association Meeting in Ildong Area
Meetings Scheduled for Soheul on the 21st, Yeongjung on February 3rd, and Gunnae on the 6th

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 17th that it held a parent association meeting for the Ildong area at the Ildong-myeon Administrative Welfare Center on the 16th.

This meeting was organized to discuss the direction of educational development in Pocheon City and to hear valuable opinions from parents in the Ildong area (Naechon, Ildong, Idong, Hwacheon) through communication with them.


Attended by Pocheon Mayor Baek Young-hyun, city officials, and parent association executives from each school, the meeting included explanations of education policies and sharing of future plans following the designation of the area as a pilot region for the Education Development Special Zone.


The parents attending the meeting emphasized the need to improve the educational environment for the development of education in Pocheon City, expand programs that can foster students' creativity and capabilities, and strengthen communication between schools.


Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “Pocheon City is becoming a city that provides a better educational environment for children and where parents can entrust their children with peace of mind,” adding, “We will actively reflect the opinions suggested by parents at today’s meeting in our policies.”


Meanwhile, starting with the Ildong area on the 16th, Pocheon City plans to hold parent association meetings in the Soheul area on the 21st, Yeongjung area on February 3rd, and Gunnae area on February 6th. The city intends to continuously expand communication with parents through regular parent meetings in the future.
