Payment Period from January 16 to January 31; 3% Surcharge Imposed After Deadline
Convenient Payment via Financial Institutions, Virtual Accounts, ETAX, ARS, and Simple Payment Methods
Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Gang-su) will impose the regular registration license tax (license category) for January 2025 and actively promote it to enable residents to pay conveniently.
The regular registration license tax is a local tax imposed annually on January 1 on individuals and corporations holding various licenses.
The tax is levied differentially from Type 1 (67,500 KRW) to Type 5 (18,000 KRW) depending on the type of license and business scale.
Mapo-gu sent individual payment notices to the subjects on January 10. Those who applied for electronic notification can check the imposed details via email or mobile app.
The payment period for the 2025 regular registration license tax is from January 16 to January 31. If payment is not made within the deadline, an additional 3% surcharge must be paid.
Payment methods include visiting financial institutions nationwide in person or depositing into a virtual account. Payment is also possible using cash withdrawal machines (CD/ATM) without a payment notice.
Additionally, payments can be conveniently made anytime and anywhere using Seoul City ETAX, ARS, STAX apps, or simple payment methods (KakaoPay, SSG Pay, PAYCO, app card).
For detailed information about the registration license tax payment, please contact the Local Income Tax Division of Mapo-gu.
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “We sincerely thank the residents who faithfully fulfill their tax obligations,” and added, “Mapo-gu will manage the precious resources well so that they can be used for the happiness of the residents.”
