Sacheon City Holds Appointment and Meeting for Cultural Tourism Interpreters

Appointment Ceremony Held for Two Additional Guides
to Mark the 2025 Year of Visiting Sacheon

On the 16th, Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced that it held the ‘2025 Cultural Tourism Guide Appointment Ceremony and Meeting’ to mark the Year of the Blue Snake (Eulsa Year).

The city awarded appointment certificates to 14 cultural tourism guides who were selected through a placement examination last December to provide high-quality guided services with friendly smiles to tourists visiting Sacheon.

Additionally, a meeting was held to discuss the work and activity plans for the year 2025 and program operation methods.

This year, in celebration of the ‘Year of Visiting Sacheon,’ two new cultural tourism guides were additionally selected through document and interview screening, new training education, and on-site internships to meet tourist demand.

The cultural tourism guides will be active at major tourist sites such as Sacheon Sea Cable Car, Sacheon Aerospace Museum & Science Center, Seonjini Fortress, and Dasolsa Temple, providing professional explanations and experiential opportunities about Sacheon’s history, culture, arts, nature, and overall tourism resources.

Moreover, they will accompany the aerospace industry tourism tour three times a month, serving as messengers conveying the charm of Sacheon where aerospace and marine tourism harmonize.

Mayor Park Dongsik said, “Cultural tourism guides are the face of Sacheon City who welcome visitors up close and act as ambassadors,” and urged, “Please do your best to widely promote excellent culture and tourism resources and to elevate the status of Sacheon’s tourism brand image.”
