In October last year, Laon People signed a strategic business partnership (MOU) related to floods and disasters in Bueng Kan Province under the supervision of the Ministry of Interior of Thailand and started a pilot project to develop and supply the AI video surveillance solution Laon Sentinel.
The Thai deputy ministerial team is understood to have visited the company to review specific business directions and technologies. On that day, the delegation showed great interest in the fields of transportation and disaster by visiting the Smart Integrated Control Center of Anyang City equipped with the next-generation smart traffic control system, along with Laon People’s subsidiaries Laon Medi and Laon Road.
A Laon People official explained, “As the Thai government is conducting a pilot project for AI video surveillance related to floods and disasters, it is judged that they are establishing a strategy to make Bueng Kan Province a smart city hub by thoroughly inspecting Laon Road’s AI traffic control solution and Laon Medi’s AI dental solution as well. We will continue to cooperate with the Thai government and Bueng Kan Province in various fields.”
At Laon People’s Gwacheon headquarters, Vice President Kim Jong-hoon and CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Yoon Ki-wook attended on behalf of CEO Lee Seok-jung, who is participating in CES and PGA shows in the United States. Also present were Songsak Thongsri, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior of Thailand, Phikit Srichana, Chairman of the Smart City Budget Committee, and Naten Jang, CEO of Aiden Labs.
Furthermore, Bueng Kan Province in Thailand, where Laon People is conducting business, has been selected as a pilot smart city project city in Thailand. It plans to expand tourists and floating populations by constructing a bridge connecting to Laos. With a 10-year development goal, it aims to become a global hub city through the construction of an international airport as well as next-generation smart city infrastructure including smart tourism, smart transportation, and smart safety.
Aiden Labs, which signed an agreement with Laon People, is leading the smart city construction project through cooperation with the Thai government and is a global AI platform company that integrates various AI services based on innovative blockchain technology.
