"Up to 10 Billion KRW Compensation for Electric Vehicle Fires"... Hyundai Motor's '2025 EV Everycare'

Hyundai Motor Company has newly launched the electric vehicle (EV) lifecycle customized integrated care program, 'EV Every Care,' with enhanced benefits and coverage. Safety-related items have been strengthened, including support of up to 10 billion KRW if the damage amount caused by an EV fire exceeds the vehicle owner's insurance liability limit.

On the 16th, Hyundai announced the launch of the '2025 EV Every Care' service. After first introducing this service in February last year, Hyundai unveiled the enhanced 'EV Every Care + (Plus)' in September of the same year, and now has released a new service with further strengthened benefits and coverage.

The 2025 EV Every Care features enhanced benefits such as ▲Blue Safety Inspection Service ▲EV Fire Safety Program ▲Emergency Charging Special Insurance ▲Expansion of Residual Value Guarantee targets. It also includes existing benefits such as EV purchase benefits that offer a choice of charging credits, home charger support (including installation fees), or two EV-exclusive tires, as well as new car exchange support, extended warranty on general parts, and body care services.

First, the Blue Safety Inspection Service, which previously provided a total of 8 safety inspections over 8 years, has been expanded by 2 more inspections to offer one inspection annually for 10 years, totaling 10 inspections. The newly introduced EV Fire Safety Program supports up to 10 billion KRW in damages if third-party damage occurs due to an EV fire and the vehicle owner's automobile insurance liability limit is exceeded. The Emergency Charging Special Insurance is a rider linked with insurance companies that can be applied when renewing or newly subscribing to automobile insurance, providing emergency charging of 15 kWh twice a year in case of EV battery depletion concerns.

The expansion of the residual value guarantee target extends the 'Residual Value Guarantee Service,' which guarantees up to 55% of the original EV purchase price when selling the EV as a used car within 2 to 3 years after delivery and purchasing a new Hyundai vehicle again, from individual customers to include individual business customers.

In addition, Hyundai maintains the main benefits of the existing EV Every Care. Customers can choose one benefit from EV charging credits (worth approximately 800,000 KRW), home charger support (including installation fees), or two EV-exclusive tires through the EV purchase benefits.

Furthermore, through new car exchange support, if the EV is declared a total loss within 2 years of delivery, customers can receive compensation not only for the loss amount but also for new car registration fees. Additionally, the Body Care Service guarantees exterior damage within 1 year or 20,000 km, and the Warranty Plus Service offers extended warranty on general parts for 2 years or 40,000 km.

A Hyundai official stated, "We hope that the '2025 EV Every Care' program, which covers the entire EV life cycle from purchase to ownership and residual value guarantee for used cars, will alleviate the vague anxieties of customers considering purchasing an electric vehicle."
