Yeongcheon City in Gyeongbuk is actively promoting local specialty products to celebrate the nation's biggest holiday, Seollal.
Yeongcheon City announced on the 15th that it will hold a special discount event for two weeks from the 9th to the 22nd ahead of Seollal on the local agricultural specialty online shopping mall, ‘Byeolbitchon Market’.

During this special Seollal event, more than 400 trusted products currently on sale, including Yeongcheon fruits, Korean beef, rice, wine, and traditional sauces, will be offered with free shipping and a 20% discount. Additionally, customers who write reviews will receive discount coupons of up to 2,000 won per transaction.
According to a Yeongcheon City official, the city has consistently supported Byeolbitchon Market throughout the year with an annual budget of about 150 million won for shipping fees, discount events, and promotions. As a result of these efforts, the number of registered farms in the shopping mall has nearly doubled from 100 in 2021 to over 200 in 2024, and sales have steadily increased, reaching approximately 640 million won in 2024 (Gyeongbuk Saiseo integrated sales). Byeolbitchon Market offers free shipping on all items year-round to consumers and sells carefully selected high-quality Yeongcheon agricultural specialty products through direct transactions.
