Cho Seung-rae, the chief spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Korea, said in a written briefing that day, "Yoon Seok-yeol's handwritten letter is evidence that the president has abandoned all else and has only been buried in fake news from far-right YouTube channels, nurturing delusions."

Cho added, "The self-praising list of overcoming the economic crisis and normalizing diplomacy also shows that he has lived in delusions rather than reality," and said, "This is why the state affairs have inevitably been in chaos." He continued, "We cannot expect improvement from a rebel leader who refuses even the slightest reflection on his mistakes," emphasizing, "The best course is to ensure that such misfortune never happens again through strict legal judgment."

On the same day, President Yoon, the first sitting president to be arrested by investigative authorities, posted on Facebook claims such as "Martial law is not a crime" and "There is too much evidence of election fraud."
