The new CEO has worked for 30 years in the consumer goods and distribution sectors, including at Homeplus, cosmetics company Carver Korea, By The Way, and KFC. He served as Vice Chairman of Homeplus until last year.

He will officially begin his duties as CEO by starting with the inauguration ceremony and visits to business sites, research centers, and headquarters.

Lee said, “I am pleased to join Yuhan-Kimberly, the leading company driving sustainable product innovation and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management under the vision of acting for life, health, and the global environment,” adding, “I will strive to create new success based on collaboration with our valuable employees and partners.”

A Yuhan-Kimberly official explained, “The shareholders Yuhan Corporation and Kimberly-Clark previously expressed their strong support through an internal letter, expecting Yuhan-Kimberly’s capabilities and new leadership to drive future growth.”

Lee is scheduled to be appointed as CEO after approval at the March shareholders’ meeting. To ensure a stable transfer of management rights until the shareholders’ meeting, current CEO Jin Jae-seung will remain in office.
