Gyeongnam Jeongbodae Fire Safety Management Department Holds Award Ceremony for Outstanding Students

Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Tae-sang) held an award ceremony on the 13th at the Minseok Memorial Hall conference room on campus for students of the Fire Safety Management Department. The ceremony was to present commendation certificates from the Busan Branch President of the Korea Fire Facility Managers Association.

Second-year students Kim Ji-min, Yoon Sang-ho, and Park Do-hyung, who are expected to graduate from the Fire Safety Management Department, were selected as outstanding students and received commendation certificates and prizes.

These students were recognized not only for their excellent academic performance but also for their distinction in fire-related practical training and studies, demonstrating potential to contribute to the advancement of the fire safety professional field.

The event was attended by Lee Kyung-hoon, President of the Busan Branch of the Korea Fire Facility Managers Association, along with other association executives, and faculty members of the Fire Safety Management Department.

Lee Jeong-pil, head of the Fire Safety Management Department, said, “We are grateful that the Busan Branch of the Korea Fire Facility Managers Association has acknowledged the excellence of our students. We will continue to do our best to nurture talents who will lead the fire safety field in the future.”

The Fire Safety Management Department at Gyeongnam Information University was established in 2020 in response to the increasing demand for fire safety professionals. It provides practical training in an environment identical to the field, cultivating talents equipped with the capabilities to be deployed immediately upon graduation. The department operates certification preparation classes for Fire Equipment Industrial Engineer, Hazardous Materials Industrial Engineer, Industrial Safety Industrial Engineer, Gas Industrial Engineer, and also runs a civil service preparation class. Currently, adult learners are also being recruited.
