Hamyang-gun Promotes 'National Mind Investment Support Project'

Resolving Emotional Difficulties Such as Depression and Anxiety
Providing Professional Psychological Counseling Services

On the 15th, the Health Center of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced that it will actively promote the 2025 "National Mind Investment Support Project" to improve the mental health of residents experiencing emotional difficulties.


This project is a program designed to provide professional psychological counseling services to residents suffering from emotional difficulties such as depression and anxiety, aiming to care for their mental health and support a healthy life.

The eligible recipients are ▲those recognized as needing psychological counseling by institutions such as mental health welfare centers, university counseling centers, youth counseling welfare centers, Wee Centers/Classes, and psychiatric medical institutions ▲those who have been identified with moderate or higher depression (10 points or more) in mental health tests during national health checkups ▲youth preparing for independence and extended protection children.


Residents who wish to use the service can prepare documents such as referral letters or medical certificates (opinions) issued by each institution and visit their local eup/myeon office, or apply through the Bokjiro website and mobile app.


Eligible individuals will receive a total of 8 sessions of professional one-on-one face-to-face psychological counseling services, with service costs up to 640,000 KRW supported differentially according to income level.


Additionally, regardless of their place of residence, users can freely choose a convenient provider institution to apply for the service.


A representative of the county health center said, “We hope that this 'National Mind Investment Support Project' will be more than just support for psychological counseling, but a new turning point in life for those isolated due to emotional difficulties,” and added, “We will do our best to strengthen various support measures and create a better environment so that all residents can safely receive help.”
