Started Apartment Deliveries in Collaboration with Samsung C&T Corporation
‘Newbie’ Robot Now Delivers Directly to Residents’ Front Doors
Newbility announced on the 15th that it has started a ‘Door-to-Door’ robot delivery service within apartment complexes in collaboration with Samsung C&T Corporation. This service has been in pilot operation since the 2nd of last month at the Raemian Leaders One apartment complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul. When residents order drinks or food from nearby stores or community cafes and restaurants within the apartment complex, the autonomous delivery robot ‘Newbie’ delivers directly to each household’s front door.
Since June last year, Newbility has been providing outdoor delivery service to the front entrance on the first floor of the Raemian Leaders One complex. Now, the service area has expanded to indoor delivery, where the robot autonomously calls the elevator and moves independently to deliver directly to the household front door.

Newbility implemented an optimized delivery service for indoor environments by utilizing technology that enables stable autonomous driving without GPS or LiDAR, along with AI object recognition technology. In particular, through a perfect integration system with elevators, autonomous driving freely moving between indoor and outdoor areas has become possible. Newbility explained that with delivery reaching the doorstep, the usage rate of robot delivery has increased more than threefold compared to before.
Lee Sang-min, CEO of Newbility, said, “This indoor delivery service started in cooperation with Samsung C&T Corporation is an important leap toward the generalization of robot technology that Newbility aims for. By safely and efficiently delivering not only to household front doors but also right in front of community facilities, we have opened up the possibility of applying technology to various living spaces.” He added, “We will strive to expand the service to various locations such as golf courses, hospitals, and logistics warehouses so that more people can enjoy the benefits of autonomous delivery robots.”
