Lotte Chilsung's Beer 'Cloud' Changes... "Flavor Emphasized with 100% Aroma Hops"

Under the concept of "100% coming together to mean completion and achieving a premium value beyond that," Kloud is changing its recipe to use 100% aroma hops for a deep and rich aroma. The renewed Kloud replaces the previously used aroma hops and bitter hops in a ratio of about 7:3, which contributed to the beer's bitterness, with 100% aroma hops that enhance flavor and aroma, completing Kloud's unique deep and rich scent.

Additionally, the can material has been changed to a matte finish to emphasize a luxurious image, and the golden color of the existing label has been darkened while navy has been added instead of white to intuitively express the renewed Kloud's deep and rich aroma.

Maintaining Kloud's essential features of '100% malt wort fermentation original liquid' through the original gravity method since its launch and '100% malt' for a rich and full taste, the alcohol content remains at 5% and the price stays the same.

A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official said, "Through the renewal, premium beer Kloud has set a 'new standard for premium beer in Korea' by going beyond 100% malt wort fermentation original liquid and 100% malt to using 100% aroma hops." He added, "Despite the increased manufacturing costs due to the use of high-quality 100% aroma hops for Kloud's deep and rich aroma and the overall increase in hop usage, considering the recent high inflation situation, consumers will be able to enjoy the renewed Kloud at the same price as before."

Meanwhile, Kloud, launched by Lotte Chilsung Beverage in 2014, has set a new standard for premium beer in Korea by emphasizing its distinctive features of 100% malt wort fermentation original liquid and 100% malt from the beginning. In 2020, following the application of the beer volume tax, it was the only domestic beer company to lower prices, and since then, it has minimized price increases despite various cost pressures, leading the popularization of domestic premium beer.
