Park Chan-dae: "Yoon Should Be Swiftly Arrested for Suppressing the Rebellion... Choi Sang-mok Responsible if Any Mishaps Occur"

In the early hours of the 15th, as the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (Hugo) and the police began executing the second arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, the Democratic Party of Korea claimed that a swift arrest is the path to suppressing the insurrection and restoring national dignity.

Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party, met with reporters immediately after an emergency party meeting at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, in the morning, stating, "I hope Hugo and the police do not back down and definitely arrest the insurrection ringleader Yoon Seok-yeol today," emphasizing, "A swift arrest is the shortcut to suppressing the insurrection, restoring national dignity, and normalizing the state."

Park said, "Yoon Seok-yeol bears the greatest responsibility for causing the current situation. He violated the constitution and laws, declared martial law, and committed serious crimes by refusing lawful law enforcement, turning the Republic of Korea into a lawless land."

He added, "He himself provided the cause for the execution of the arrest warrant by repeatedly refusing to comply with the investigative agencies' summons," expressing, "It is very disappointing and tragic to see him showing a cowardly and pitiful appearance until the end."

Park urged, "I hope he does not make the security office staff criminals and walks out on his own to comply with the arrest."

Park also sharply criticized Choi Sang-mok, the acting Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance. He pointed out, "Choi's attitude cannot be overlooked either," accusing him of "repeatedly issuing orders that evade constitutional and legal obligations and obstruct lawful law enforcement."

He warned, "If any unfortunate incident occurs today, it is clear that all responsibility lies with Choi Sang-mok, not with others."
