Gyeonggi-do Offers Up to 30% Discount on Agricultural, Livestock, and Fishery Products for Lunar New Year Amid Emergency Economic Measures

Gyeonggi Province is supporting discount coupons that allow purchasing agricultural, livestock, and fishery products produced within the province at 30% off in celebration of the Seollal holiday.

On the 15th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will implement the 'Agricultural and Fishery Products Discount Coupon Support Project' from the 20th to the 31st of this month to alleviate difficulties in the local economy caused by heavy snowfall damage and the economic downturn in Gyeonggi, and to promote the consumption of local agricultural products.

Gyeonggi Province has allocated 25 billion KRW in this year's main budget for the project.

To this end, Gyeonggi Province will select participating large and small supermarkets, local food direct stores, and eco-friendly stores by the 20th.

Park Jong-min, Director of the Agricultural, Livestock, and Life Sciences Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, said, "This project has a triple effect of securing sales channels for Gyeonggi agricultural, livestock, and fishery products, reducing the burden of grocery prices for residents, and supplying high-quality products," adding, "We hope many people will purchase Gyeonggi agricultural, livestock, and fishery products."
