Oh Eon-seok, Dobong-gu Mayor, Presents 6 Visions for 'Future Dobong' at New Year's Meeting

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) held a New Year's greeting event on the 17th at Seoninbong Hall on the 2nd floor of Dobong-gu Office, pledging a vigorous leap forward in the new year together with the residents.


Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu announced the direction of district administration for this year along with his New Year's greetings. The announcement is expected to present six visions of the 'Future Dobong' across various sectors.


Through his New Year's address, Mayor Oh explained plans for future development cities stemming from balanced development by region and urban environment improvement, as well as the expansion plan of metropolitan transportation infrastructure to advance Dobong into a transportation hub in the northeastern part of Seoul.


He also introduced various projects to build a clean and safe city, diverse welfare policies to create a happy city for residents, education policies tailored to the times, and convenience facility development projects.


Next, to create a vibrant economic city, he shared support policies and projects for small business owners and youth to be promoted throughout the year. At the end of the announcement, various cultural events and sports and park facility development projects for a leisure city with rest were introduced.


Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, "Through this New Year's greeting event, we aim to inform residents about this year's district administration direction and major project plans and help their understanding," adding, "I hope this occasion will be an opportunity to pledge a new start together and strengthen the cohesion of our local community."


About 1,000 people, including local members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, heads of related organizations, leaders of professional groups, and residents, attended the event. The program included a pre-performance by local artists of Dobong-gu, viewing of promotional videos containing key projects and the future vision of Dobong-gu, and New Year's greetings from guests. At the end of the event, performances by the Dobong-gu Philharmonic Orchestra, Women's Choir, and Children's Choir were held.
