15% Discount on Gift Certificates, 2% Low Brokerage Fee: Benefits for Both Residents and Small Business Owners
Business Agreement with Shinhan Bank Signed on January 17... First Issuance of 'Yeongdeungpo Ttaenggyeoyo' Gift Certificates on February 3
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced on the 17th that it has signed a business agreement with Shinhan Bank (Bank President Jeong Sang-hyeok) to operate the ‘Ttaenggyeoyo (Public Delivery App)’ and will issue the ‘Yeongdeungpo Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ for the first time on February 3.
‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ is a mobile delivery app that offers low brokerage fees to affiliated stores. It is one of the major new policies implemented this year to alleviate the management burden on small business owners and revitalize the local economy.
‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ signed a business agreement with Shinhan Bank on the 17th and will begin full-scale operation. The district is responsible for ▲issuing Yeongdeungpo Ttaenggyeoyo gift certificates ▲promoting to secure affiliated stores and users, while Shinhan Bank is responsible for ▲operating the Ttaenggyeoyo system and call center ▲recruiting affiliated stores.
‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ offers the ‘3 No (無) Benefits’ including a low 2% brokerage fee, no entry fees, no monthly usage fees, and no advertising costs. Consumers can purchase exclusive gift certificates usable on ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ at a 15% discounted price, reducing household expenses.
Starting with this agreement, the district will issue ‘Yeongdeungpo Ttaenggyeoyo’ gift certificates at the beginning of each month from February to November. The gift certificates can be purchased at a 15% discount off the face value through the ‘Seoul Pay Plus (SeoulPAY+)’ app. However, purchases are limited to 100,000 KRW per person per month, with a total holding limit of 1,000,000 KRW.
Currently, there are 1,774 affiliated Yeongdeungpo stores registered on the ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ app. The district plans to expand ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ affiliated stores mainly around major commercial areas such as Mullae Station, Seonyudo Station, and Dangsan Station. The policy aims to widely promote the uniqueness and charm of local commercial districts while allowing consumers to choose from a variety of food options.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “The Yeongdeungpo Ttaenggyeoyo gift certificate offers thrifty consumption opportunities to residents and a lifeline policy for small business owners,” adding, “We will continue meticulous support for the local economy so that the stagnant regional economy can be revived.”
