The production team of 'My Perfect Secretary' issued an official statement on the 13th, saying, "We apologize for causing concern due to unfavorable news related to PD Ham." They continued, "It is true that PD Ham was charged with drunken assault and insult in early 2020," but added, "He sincerely apologized to all victims, and after forgiveness and settlement, he faced legal consequences. They further explained, "Due to this case, PD Ham was suspended from the company following procedures, and after three years of self-reflection and remorse, he returned to directing," and asked for "the generous understanding of viewers."

Previously, an online community post claimed that the PD of 'My Perfect Secretary' was involved in a past assault incident.
