Jeonju Holds 'Special Meeting on Public Livelihood Stabilization'... Discusses Budget Execution and More

Weekly Meetings to Continue Until March

Jeonju City, North Jeolla Province, held a 'Special Civil Livelihood Stabilization Countermeasures Meeting' on the 14th to discuss initiatives for stabilizing citizens' livelihoods by department.


According to the city, this meeting was held as a follow-up to the 'Comprehensive Civil Livelihood Stabilization Measures' announced by Jeonju Mayor Woo Beomgi on the 31st of last month. It was organized to practically implement and monitor livelihood stabilization measures that citizens can directly feel.

The main measures discussed at the meeting included: ▲ prompt implementation and budget execution of projects supporting livelihood stabilization ▲ expansion of support for low-income groups such as recipients of the Basic Livelihood Security Program ▲ active promotion of various cultural and tourism programs ▲ support for discovering citizen-centered policies closely related to daily life.


The city decided to change the format of the meetings, previously held as video conferences presided over by the vice mayor, to face-to-face meetings in order to strengthen close cooperation and execution.


Additionally, the city plans to hold the 'Special Civil Livelihood Stabilization Countermeasures Meeting' every week until March to closely monitor the progress of each support project. Based on these reviews, all departments will work together to continuously identify and implement concrete and effective measures to achieve the dual goals of revitalizing the local economy and stabilizing citizens' livelihoods.


Vice Mayor Yoon Dongwook said, "To overcome the current difficult situation, it is important to break down barriers between departments and mobilize all administrative resources," adding, "We will do our best to implement policies that prioritize the safety and livelihood stability of every citizen."
