Damyang County in Jeollanam-do, designated as a “Humanities Education and Traditional Garden Special Zone,” is recruiting learners for the “Damyang Humanities Literacy Class” until February 3, to improve the quality of life and guarantee the right to pursue happiness for adults who missed educational opportunities during their school years due to economic or social reasons.
The “Damyang Humanities Literacy Class” operates in two ways: groups of four or more from each village can participate at public facilities, while groups of three or fewer can receive classes at their desired locations, including private homes.
The literacy class is based on basic Korean language education and also includes practical literacy lessons needed in daily life, such as financial education and the use of unmanned terminals (kiosks) utilizing tablet PCs.
Learners or villages interested in participating can apply through their local town or township office, and for more details, they can contact the Damyang County Administration Department.
