According to Chuncheon City, the Integrated Care Division consists of ▲Integrated Care Policy Team ▲Hope Welfare Team ▲Southern Integrated Care Team ▲Northern Integrated Care Team ▲Eastern Integrated Care Team.
This is a dedicated organization established in preparation for entering a super-aged society and the enforcement of the ‘Act on Integrated Support for Local Care such as Medical and Nursing’ scheduled for March next year.
The Integrated Care Policy Team plans and executes various care projects and establishes care plans.
The Southern, Northern, and Eastern Integrated Care Teams divide Chuncheon’s 25 eup, myeon, and dong into three zones, conduct home visits to applicants of care services, establish integrated support plans, and connect services.
In particular, in preparation for the increasing demand for elderly care in the southeastern zone, the Eastern Integrated Care Team was newly established in January at the Hakgok 1-ri Village Hall. Public officials in welfare and nursing are assigned to provide prompt and professional elderly integrated care services.
Meanwhile, the Hope Welfare Team is responsible for managing the comprehensive social welfare center, supporting households in crisis and vulnerable groups, and case management.
Additionally, to improve the efficiency of work for civil petitioners, executing agencies, and administrative welfare centers, the zones were adjusted by integrating Hyoja 1, 2, and 3-dong and Hupyeong 1, 2, and 3-dong, which were previously managed by the two Southern and Northern Integrated Care Teams.
Mayor Yuk Dong-han of Chuncheon said, “In response to the increasing demand and complex needs for elderly care, we have established a dedicated department through this reorganization,” adding, “We will establish and implement various integrated care support policies so that those who have difficulty maintaining daily life due to frailty within the community can live healthy and dignified lives where they have lived.”
Meanwhile, Chuncheon City removed the income criteria for the Chuncheon-type elderly integrated care dietary support project this year. Through this, the target group was expanded to include elderly couples who actually need support.
Furthermore, by continuously conducting the ‘Elderly Medical-Care Integrated Support Technology Support Pilot Project,’ Chuncheon City is establishing and implementing various integrated care policies through strengthening home medical care and projects for preventing and managing solitary deaths.
