Seoul Bumin Hospital (Director Hayongchan) is conducting a preliminary study to provide customized rehabilitation treatment using advanced gait rehabilitation robots.
The rehabilitation robot from 'Angel Robotics' can be applied to conditions causing gait disorders such as stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, and others. It is an advanced rehabilitation device equipped with intention recognition technology composed of 11 sensors that enhance patient engagement in training.
Bumin Hospital plans to apply this program for two weeks to 30 patients requiring rehabilitation after joint and spinal surgery in collaboration with Angel Robotics to determine the introduction of robot rehabilitation services.
After consultation with a rehabilitation medicine specialist, two types of robots will be applied according to the patient's condition, allowing patients with gait disorders to experience and learn normal walking.
The Angelex M20, demonstrated at Seoul Bumin Hospital, is a gait rehabilitation training robot that assists with walking training and stair climbing training. Additionally, the Suit H10 is a robot rehabilitation device that supports hip joint function, enabling smooth walking and daily activities.
In particular, the wearable robot is equipped with data functions that quantitatively analyze the wearer's gait characteristics and patterns, which has been reported to encourage patients to actively participate in treatment by monitoring their rehabilitation progress.
Hayongchan, Director of Seoul Bumin Hospital, stated, “We are reviewing the application of rehabilitation services using wearable robots through medical staff research and in-depth user interviews. We will do our best to enhance customer satisfaction by introducing various advanced programs that help patients return to daily life quickly.”
