This event served as a platform for exchange among PNU, local companies (family companies), and local innovation institutions in the government-industry-academia-research collaboration. The parties sought to promote mutual growth and development, further strengthen cooperation, and explore new paths for sustainable development.
The PNU Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation signed MOUs with the Busan Employers Federation, Busan Intellectual Property Center, Busan·Ulsan·Gyeongnam Women’s Venture Association, and others to establish an industry-academia-research cooperation governance, pledging joint efforts to strengthen collaboration and find sustainable regional development models.
Additionally, the Foundation presented the current status of various support projects it operates, including industry-academic cooperation projects, family company support, and LINC 3.0 company support. It introduced cooperation achievements with companies and shared excellent cases of family companies participating in the LINC 3.0 project, empowering local companies to recognize the value and effects of industry-academic cooperation and to concretize future cooperation plans.
During the event, industry-academia-research cooperation councils were formed by Pusan strategic industry sectors to discuss cooperation methods and strategies in each industrial field. A forum to revitalize industry-academic cooperation was also held for PNU family companies and participating companies, gathering corporate opinions and discussing practical support measures.
Kang Jeong-eun, Director of the PNU Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and Professor of Urban Engineering, stated, “Establishing local community cooperation governance goes beyond simple cooperation; it lays the foundation for sustainable co-growth where the region and university coexist and maximize each other’s potential.” She added, “PNU will closely collaborate with various local companies and institutions for innovation aimed at the development and future of the local community.”
