Previously, BMW Korea began installing electric vehicle chargers in 2014. At that time, with the launch of the pure electric vehicle i3, about 200 chargers were installed nationwide, including at showrooms and 80 E-Mart stores. The cumulative number of chargers installed exceeded 500 in 2021 and surpassed 1,000 in 2023. In the past year alone, more than 1,000 new chargers were installed, pushing the total past 2,000.

By region, 660 chargers were installed in the Seoul and Gyeonggi metropolitan area, with installations spread throughout the country. More than 100 chargers were also installed in both Jeju and Busan. This year, the company plans to build more than 600 additional chargers, including new concept charging stations.
