HancomWITH is showing strong performance. It is interpreted that the news of the quantum-resistant cryptography (PQC) cryptographic module passing the National Intelligence Service verification influenced this.
As of 9:29 AM on the 13th, HancomWITH was trading at 2,970 KRW, up 65 KRW (2.24%) compared to the previous trading day.
On the same day, HancomWITH announced that SoftForum's 'IQNUS Crypto v1.0' cryptographic module, which includes quantum-resistant cryptography, passed the National Intelligence Service's Cryptographic Module Validation Program (KCMVP).
'IQNUS Crypto v1.0' is the first domestic cryptographic module to include algorithms selected by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as quantum-resistant cryptography standards among non-validated target algorithms.
By passing the verification, its technological capability and stability have been proven. Through this, it is expected to proactively respond to the risk that quantum computers may neutralize the current cryptographic system in the future.
With the rapid advancement of quantum computing technology, the current cryptographic system is under threat. In response, governments and industries of major countries, including the United States, are accelerating development and standardization with the goal of transitioning the entire current cryptographic system to quantum-resistant cryptography by 2035.
In particular, quantum computing experts recommend the immediate application of the currently announced quantum-resistant cryptography standards to prepare for 'Harvest Now, Decrypt Later (HNDL)' attacks.
HancomWITH is actively utilizing quantum-resistant cryptography technology in various products and businesses as demand for quantum-resistant cryptography solutions is increasing in key industries such as finance, healthcare, and defense. In May last year, it launched the communication section encryption solution 'Hancom xConnect v4.0.' In December, it introduced the structured and unstructured data security solution 'Hancom xDB v5.0.'
