Singer Sean, known as the 'Angel of Donation,' tearfully issued a public apology.

On the 11th, Sean posted a video titled "This is Sean. I am sorry" on his YouTube channel "With Sean." In the video, he said, "I turned on the camera today because I have something important to tell you all," and began, "A while ago, I posted a PD recruitment announcement on a community, but the application rate was very low."

He continued, "I thought about why that might be, and I realized that writing 'running is required' as a preferred qualification was a mistake. I am sorry," bowing his head and pretending to tear up. He then emphasized, "Please don’t worry about that. It’s not a mandatory requirement, nor a special preference. Just feel free to apply," adding, "You don’t have to like running; you just have to like Sean."

According to the recruitment announcement, Sean’s team prefers candidates who enjoy watching various YouTube channels, are familiar with internet memes and trending phrases, hold a Class 1 regular driver’s license, and like running. However, Sean judged that the 'running preference' caused applicants to feel burdened, saying, "This is supposed to be confidential, but our PD doesn’t run; he rides a bicycle during filming," and urged, "Once again, please don’t be bound by the running preference listed. Let’s take it slow."

Meanwhile, on the 5th, Sean announced via YouTube the completion of the world’s first Lou Gehrig’s disease nursing hospital. After turning on the camera in Jamsil, Seoul, he said, "I built a building in Yongin. I have been saving money very hard for 15 years," and started running, saying, "The building is all finished. It’s about 42 km to the building; let’s go together." Upon arriving in Yongin, Sean introduced, "This is the building I mentioned earlier. It is the domestic first and world’s first Lou Gehrig’s disease nursing hospital, a dream shared by my late friend, co-CEO Park Seung-il, and me." He added, "Today is the completion day. The exterior construction is finished, but the interior is not yet complete. We plan to have everything set up by the end of January and open in March."

The late Park Seung-il, a former professional basketball player, was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease while coaching Ulsan Mobis in 2002. He battled the disease for 23 years and passed away last September at the age of 53. Park co-founded the non-profit Seungil Hope Foundation with Sean in 2011, conducting various fundraising activities such as the Ice Bucket Challenge to build the Lou Gehrig’s disease nursing hospital.
