From Daycare Children to Middle School Students, Songpa-gu's "Warm Donation Parade" Continues with Collective Contributions

Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that the heartfelt donations collected bit by bit by residents to help neighbors in need are continuing to warm the community.


First, students from Oryun Middle School held a bazaar and donated approximately 650,000 KRW, which they raised themselves, to the local community. Additionally, Lee Young-hoon, who has been continuously supporting low-income children, visited the district office with his son on December 20th to donate 3 million KRW. Lee Young-hoon shared the reason for his donation, saying, “Since 2022, I have been donating every winter to help local children. I hope my son grows up to be a person who can share and nurture a warm heart by donating together.”


On December 23rd, children from the Songpa-gu District Office daycare center donated their pocket money collected themselves into a promotional piggy bank for a warm winter campaign, continuing the love gathered by the little hands of the children at the daycare. Also, the Songpa Healing Mountaineering Club placed a donation box at their year-end party and contributed 3 million KRW to the winter fundraising campaign.


Along with this, Holvic Co., Ltd., a software development company located in Munjeong-dong, donated 10 million KRW, and SMKT&I Co., Ltd. and the Korea Broadcasting Promotion Corporation added warmth by donating 200 pairs of sports shoes (worth about 10 million KRW) for seniors and children.


Furthermore, the Deoksu High School Alumni Association, which recently graduated its first class after relocating to Songpa-gu, donated 3 million KRW, and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation donated 5 million KRW. Various local organizations are gathering warm hearts bit by bit to practice neighborly love.


The district office will run the ‘2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ fundraising campaign for three months until February 14th next year. The target amount for this year is 2.15 billion KRW. On the first floor lobby of Songpa-gu Office, a Love Temperature Tower is installed along with card terminals and donation boxes to allow donations by card. Donation boxes have also been set up at the Lotte Department Store ‘Christmas Market.’

Also, by scanning the QR codes attached at various donation points, donors can conveniently participate using credit cards, bank transfers, or simple payment methods.


Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, “The warm love of companies, organizations, and residents in Songpa-gu who care for their neighbors continues,” and added, “We ask for active participation in the ‘Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign’ so that everyone can spend a warm winter together.”
