"In difficult times, we will adopt the 'Geoan Sa-wi' posture, not resting on past achievements but making every effort to stabilize the livelihood of Gwanak residents and restore daily life."
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold the '2025 New Year's Greeting Meeting' at 3 p.m. on the 16th at the Gwanak Art Hall to mark a vigorous start to the new year with residents.
The event is expected to be graced by about 1,500 attendees, including Mayor Park Jun-hee of Gwanak-gu, members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, heads of related organizations, and residents.
On this day, Mayor Park will deliver a New Year's address outlining the determination and current status of promoting 'livelihood stabilization measures' to respond to unstable domestic and international situations and to restore safe daily life for residents.
He will also present the 2025 district administration direction divided into five areas: ▲ Creating a healing and garden city where residents are happy ▲ Strengthening customized welfare by life cycle ▲ Fostering an innovative economic city ▲ Establishing a reliable and safe living environment ▲ Building a city shining with education and culture.
The district has also prepared various performances to add joy to residents weary from daily life at this New Year's greeting meeting.
Before the main event, the 'Rock and Roll Crew,' which won first place at the 2015 U.S. Hip Hop International?the first Korean team to do so?will perform street dance, and the 'Heroes Ensemble' will present a classical music performance to enhance the excitement of welcoming the new year for residents.
Following this, the district has arranged diverse attractions such as a congratulatory song performance by the 'Gwanak-gu Women's Choir' and a video of residents' New Year's wishes.
In particular, through a calligraphy performance by artist Kim So-young, the message "2025, the year when dreams we planted together bear fruit" will be expressed, delivering a hopeful message toward a bright Gwanak to residents.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, "Through this New Year's greeting meeting, I promise all residents my ambition and determination to work even harder to make Gwanak a better and happier place to live," adding, "I hope you will attend the 2025 New Year's greeting meeting and join us on this vigorous journey to turn all our resolutions and wishes into reality."
