Seosan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 10th that the Non-Regular Workers Support Center has been relocated from its previous location in Eumnae-dong to the Seosan Employment Welfare Plus Center and has been in full operation since January this year.

The Seosan Employment Welfare Plus Center building houses several employment and welfare-related organizations, including the Seosan Employment Center under the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Seosan Job Comprehensive Center operated by the city, and the Seosan Women’s New Employment Center.

The relocated building is equipped with training rooms, conference rooms, and dedicated counseling rooms to strengthen the capabilities of non-regular workers.

The city plans to provide comprehensive services for non-regular workers, including various educational programs, labor counseling, legal advice, job support, and psychological counseling, utilizing the spaces available at the Seosan Employment Welfare Plus Center.

Additionally, rest areas have been prepared for mobile workers such as delivery workers and substitute drivers, as well as security guards and care workers, which are expected to serve as spaces for workers to share and discuss their working conditions.

The city plans to appoint four advisory labor attorneys on this day, and through them, will support non-regular workers in protecting their rights regarding wage arrears, labor, and tax issues.

Park Kyunghwan, head of the Seosan City Job Economy Division, said, “With the relocation of the center, we will do our best to improve convenience for non-regular workers who work under difficult conditions,” adding, “We will continue to actively promote policies to protect the rights and interests of non-regular workers, including improving their working environment.”
