Visiting 16 Eup, Myeon, and Dong Areas
A Platform for Communication and Unity with Citizens
Yeongcheon City in Gyeongbuk has stepped forward to strengthen communication with its citizens as the New Year begins.
Starting from Sinnyeong-myeon on the 10th and continuing until the 22nd, Yeongcheon City announced that it will visit 16 eup, myeon, and dong areas to hold New Year greeting meetings aimed at enhancing communication with citizens and forming a consensus for regional development in 2025.
This greeting meeting is expected to serve as a solid foundation for creating a happy Yeongcheon by sharing the city administration’s direction for 2025 and local issues, and collecting diverse opinions. It will also provide a direct dialogue platform with local residents, strengthening practical communication by immediately responding to residents’ suggestions on site.
Mayor Choi Ki-moon stated, “This year’s New Year theme is Changdoyakjin (創道躍進), which means pioneering a new path, making a vigorous leap, and advancing. We will firmly establish Yeongcheon’s centennial plan by steadily promoting major projects such as the extension of Daegu Urban Railway to Kumho, the opening of the horse racing park, and fostering prestigious high schools. I ask for the unwavering support and interest of all citizens.”
