Sold Out in Just Two Days After Ticket Sales Began
Visits Include Iksan Modern History Museum and More
The city of Iksan in North Jeolla Province has launched a new tourism train package for the New Year, called "Iksan Sowon Train: What Is Your Wish?", which is receiving enthusiastic responses from tourists thanks to its unique charm.
According to the city on the 10th, the "Iksan Sowon Train," which runs twice on January 4 and 11, was sold out just two days after ticket sales began.
Through this tourism train package, a total of about 300 participants from all over the country are making special memories as they tour Iksan's representative wish-fulfillment sites.

On board the train, tourists kick off their journey by participating in activities such as making a Sarijangeomgu mood lamp and writing down their wishes. Upon arriving in Iksan, they carry the wish lanterns they created and visit Mireuksaji, Wanggungni Historic Site, and the Won Buddhism Headquarters, walking around the wish towers and praying for their own wishes.
In addition, participants have the opportunity to experience Iksan's culture and history by visiting the ramen museum "Bogeul House" and the "Iksan Modern History Museum."
One participant shared, "It was a meaningful time to visit Iksan for the New Year, experience a thousand years of history and culture, and make wishes for hope."
A city official stated, "The success of this train package is the result of utilizing Iksan's unique resources to add special meaning beyond a simple trip. We will continue to develop differentiated products that leave a deep impression on tourists and further establish Iksan as a leading tourist city."
