Guro-gu, Temporary Special Support for Youth Monthly Rent... Applications Accepted Until February 25

Guro-gu is making final promotional efforts ahead of the February 25 deadline for the 2nd round of the 'Youth Temporary Monthly Rent Support' program.

The Youth Temporary Monthly Rent Support program provides monthly rental assistance of up to 4.8 million KRW (maximum 200,000 KRW per month) for up to 24 months to low-income youth facing economic difficulties due to housing costs.

Following the first round in March last year, the second round is currently underway. In the first round, approximately 880 million KRW was provided to 475 recipients.

Eligible applicants are homeless youth aged 19 to 34 who live separately from their parents and must be subscribed to a housing subscription savings account.

The income criteria require meeting both of the following: ▲ household income at or below 100% of the median income with assets under 470 million KRW ▲ youth household income at or below 60% of the median income with assets under 122 million KRW. However, those aged 30 or older, married (including divorced), single parents, or unmarried youth under 30 with income above 50% of the median income and separated living arrangements are excluded from the original household investigation.

Applicants can apply online via the 'Bokjiro' website or application, or visit their local community service center by February 25.

Selection results will be individually notified within 45 days of application after reviewing income and assets. For more details, visit the Guro-gu Office website or contact the Life Security Division at the district office.

A Guro-gu official stated, “With less than two months remaining until the application deadline, we will actively promote the program to ensure no one misses the opportunity due to lack of information,” and added, “We encourage many youth in need of monthly rent support to apply.”
