Seosan City Council Chairman Cho Dongsik Receives Appreciation Plaque from Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

Contribution to the Enactment of the Preferential Parking Zone Ordinance for National Merit Recipients

On the 9th, Cho Dongsik, Chairman of the Seosan City Council in South Chungcheong Province, received a plaque of appreciation from the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs in recognition of his contribution to the enactment and establishment of a preferential parking zone ordinance for national merit recipients.

The plaque presentation ceremony was held at the chairman's office of the Seosan City Council, with Seo Jeongmi, head of the Western Chungnam Patriots and Veterans Affairs Office, attending and presenting the plaque directly to Chairman Cho.

The ordinance, titled "Seosan City Preferential Parking Zone Installation and Operation for National Merit Recipients," which was proposed by Chairman Cho, requires the installation of preferential parking zones for national merit recipients at city hall and affiliated institution parking lots. This has contributed to the spread of a culture honoring patriots and veterans in the community and is regarded as a leading example of veterans policy in the region.

Chairman Cho Dongsik stated, "The freedom and peace we enjoy in Korea today are possible thanks to the sacrifices of countless national merit recipients," adding, "I will always remember their noble dedication and continue to engage in active legislative activities for the development of our nation and local community."
