Choi Seung-jae, the Small and Medium Business Ombudsman (vice ministerial level), stated in his New Year's greeting on the 10th, "We will continuously promote regulatory improvements and resolve difficulties that can be empathized with and felt on the ground."
Ombudsman Choi emphasized, "We will resolve chronic regulations and difficulties that have not been addressed for a long time, and find hidden regulations in the field to conduct a large-scale overhaul," adding, "We will also focus on improving various local regulations that make it difficult for small and medium enterprises and small business owners through consultations with local governments."

He also pledged to provide a stable management environment that offers practical help to business activities. To this end, he promised, "Even in disaster and economic crisis situations, we will actively communicate with each cooperative and association to ensure that small business owners and entrepreneurs do not face additional difficulties due to regulations, and closely consult with related ministries."
He added, "Please feel free to visit the Ombudsman anytime," and "Together, we will create a better economic environment for the Republic of Korea."
