"I Have Protected the Security Service with Honor and Pride"
"Everything Has Been Ruined Over the Past Two Years"
A message has been revealed in which an internal staff member of the Presidential Security Service guarding the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, expressed anxiety about the current situation.
On the 10th, on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus,' host and political commentator Kim Jong-bae said, "I was contacted yesterday by a person whose identity cannot be disclosed," adding, "This person said that their acquaintance is a Security Service employee who is distressed about the current situation surrounding the arrest of Yoon Seok-yeol and sent a message expressing their feelings to me," and then disclosed the message from the Security Service employee.

The message contained the content, "I am currently on duty, but it is cold and I feel anxious. It seems like the Joint Countermeasures Headquarters will come, and I hope they handle it properly." It continued, "Most employees are here reluctantly because it is an order. They are just standing because they cannot simply open the gates," and said, "Only the command staff and the Kim Yong-hyun and Kim Geon-hee line are active, and the general employees are greatly unsettled."
It also said, "The command staff seem to be desperate because if they collapse anyway, it will be the end for them too. Due to the nature of the Security Service, most employees are enduring it reluctantly," and "If they do not cooperate, they may be branded as cowards." Then it added, "I just hope the situation ends quickly. The Security Service, which has been protected with honor and pride, has been ruined over the past two years," and "Once this situation is resolved, I only hope for a thorough purge and the rebuilding of the Security Service."
Regarding this, commentator Kim said, "Parts that could expose the identity of the Security Service employee were deleted, and some expressions that needed refinement were refined."

Meanwhile, Park Jong-jun, head of the Presidential Security Service who had blocked the execution of the first arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol, appeared at the police station on the morning of the same day to be investigated as a suspect. Park said, "I understand that many citizens are very concerned about the current situation where government agencies are clashing and confronting each other," adding, "I have repeatedly called Choi Sang-mok, the acting president, to propose mediation between government agencies and also requested a third alternative from the president's legal team. However, I did not receive an appropriate response."
He continued, "I believe that investigative procedures appropriate to the status of the sitting president should be conducted," and said, "I do not think the current method of executing the arrest warrant is appropriate, and I hope that an investigation procedure suitable for our country's dignity is carried out for the president." When asked by reporters why he was blocking the execution of the arrest warrant despite it being lawfully issued against the president, Park replied, "There are various legal theories, so I will explain during the investigation process."
