Goheung County Named 'Outstanding Institution' in Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation by Ministry of the Interior and Safety

"Valuable Achievement in Transparent and Trustworthy County Administration"

Goheung County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on the 10th that it was selected as an 'Excellent' institution in the 2024 Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 8th.

The Comprehensive Information Disclosure Evaluation is a system that annually assesses 554 organizations, including central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions, in five areas: ▲proactive information disclosure ▲original document disclosure ▲processing of information disclosure requests ▲customer management ▲system operation.

In this evaluation, Goheung County scored 90.99 points, higher than the average of 85.96 points for counties of the same type, thanks to its efforts to operate a prompt and accurate information disclosure service. This marks a 12.05-point increase from last year’s total score of 78.94, raising its grade by one level from ‘Average’ to ‘Excellent’.

In particular, Goheung County explained that this achievement was the result of proactively identifying various county administration information of high interest to residents, providing thorough information, and establishing a system that makes searching and extraction easy, thereby greatly enhancing the usability and accessibility of information disclosure for residents.

A county official stated, “Being selected as an excellent institution for information disclosure is a valuable achievement for transparent and trustworthy county administration,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to realize Goheung County’s brand value of kindness and integrity through proactive and systematic information disclosure operations and strengthened communication with residents.”
