Companies based in the Jeonnam region showcased their unique technological capabilities in the United States, knocking on the door of the global market.


According to Jeollanam-do on the 10th, the province operated an exhibition hall at CES 2025, the world's largest IT and electronics expo held in Las Vegas, USA, for four days from the 7th to this day.


Fifteen companies participated in the Jeonnam Pavilion, presenting a variety of advanced technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), the metaverse, and renewable energy. In particular, BK Energy Co., Ltd. signed contracts totaling $28.02 million to supply a 10MW green hydrogen generator to US company A and floating solar power equipment to US company B.


Turbine Crew Co., Ltd. signed an agreement to supply $200,000 worth of smart streetlights to US company C, and Smart Cube Co., Ltd. established a business agreement with US company D to develop a metaverse-based e-commerce platform, laying the groundwork for entry into the global market.


Human IT Solution Co., Ltd. and BK Energy Co., Ltd. participated in CES for the second consecutive year, following CES 2024, further strengthening their global partnerships. Human IT Solution successfully launched extended reality (XR) content on the global META platform, generating $8,000 in monthly sales. BK Energy is currently pursuing a localization strategy by establishing a local corporation in Nevada to enter the US market.


The participating companies showcased their new technologies to global venture investors. Newjak Co., Ltd. won the CES 2025 Innovation Award in the metaverse and content/entertainment sectors with its extended reality platform technology, which can be used without wearable devices.


Smart Cube Co., Ltd. demonstrated a smart tour information service utilizing 3D and AI, while Neodreams Co., Ltd. introduced an AI coaching system for rehabilitation therapy, proving their competitiveness in the global market.


Richard Jun of LA Sunstone Management Venture Capital, who attended the companies' technology presentations, said, "Jeonnam companies have great potential to create sustainable future growth engines and innovative solutions by applying AI technology, emphasized at CES 2025, to various fields such as healthcare and smart cities," highly evaluating their investment potential.


Governor Kim Yungrok stated, "CES 2025 was an opportunity for Jeonnam companies to understand the latest trends and demonstrate their technological capabilities in the global market," and added, "Just as Human IT Solution and BK Energy have continuously participated in CES and achieved results, we will actively support regional companies to achieve sustainable growth through the advancement and innovation of cutting-edge technologies."


Meanwhile, it was analyzed that regional companies signed export business agreements totaling $28.22 million through this event.
