Held at Garibong-dong Community Center from 4 PM to 5 PM on the 15th
Explanation of project plans for housing and welfare convergence facilities and collection of residents' opinions
Guro-gu announced that it will hold a resident briefing session for the Seoul Metropolitan Government-led ‘Garibong Residential Regeneration Innovation District’ at the Garibong-dong Community Center from 4 PM to 5 PM on the 15th.
This briefing session is organized to explain the project plan to landowners and others, and to collect residents' opinions.
The ‘Residential Regeneration Innovation District’ is a district unit project led by the public sector to promote residential regeneration in declining areas, aiming for sustainable development by creating regional hubs where housing, welfare, and convenience facilities are concentrated.
The ‘Garibong Residential Regeneration Innovation District’ targets the area around 134-59 Garibong-dong (12,504㎡), with plans to change the current Type 2 General Residential Area (up to 7 floors) to a quasi-residential area.
The main development plans include the construction of 546 apartment units (including 174 public rental housing units), auxiliary welfare facilities, a public parking lot (1,050㎡), and public sports facilities (800㎡).
A public inspection notice was held from March 7 to 27, 2024, and district designation requires the consent of more than two-thirds of the landowners by area and more than two-thirds of the total number of landowners by March 6, 2025. However, if the consent requirements are not met, restrictions on activities in the area will be lifted.
