Daishin Securities evaluated on the 10th that the fluctuations in the U.S. stock market are a beneficial process in the long run.
The current U.S. stock market is undergoing a healthy correction through fluctuations. Given the current structure, which has formed an upward trend since the end of October 2023, this should be regarded as a step back for a two-step forward progress.
Among the recently released U.S. economic indicators, the November job openings and the December ISM Services Index suggest strong employment and significant inflationary pressures, which is interpreted as the Federal Reserve having no need to rush rate cuts.
However, looking into the detailed items of the November job openings, there are signs of employment decline indicating a cooling labor market, so it is assessed that there is no need to draw conclusions about this year’s Federal Reserve monetary policy prematurely.
Rather than focusing on inflation and monetary policy, attention should be paid to the 2025 CES, where AI is expected to demonstrate whether it can solve real-world problems differently from last year, naturally expanding AI-applied products and services and highlighting the growth of the AI industry.
The White House appointed Krishnan, who has worked at MS, Meta, Snap, Yahoo, etc., as the Chief AI Policy Advisor of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman anticipates the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) within the second Trump administration, forecasting that the AI revolution will continue to be a cornerstone driving the U.S. stock market this year. Researchers Namjoong Moon and Gunwoo Moon of Daishin Securities advised, "The U.S. big tech stocks called BATMMAAN (Broadcom, Apple, Tesla, MS, Meta Platforms, Amazon, Alphabet, Nvidia) should be seen as an opportunity to increase weighting through the current stock market fluctuations."
