'Dobong Love Gift Certificate' Issued for 12 Billion Won... Total 10% Benefit Including Refund

Dobong-gu to Issue Dobong Love Gift Certificates on January 16 at 4 PM...120 Billion KRW Scale, 5% Discount Issued
5% 'Payback (Compensation Refund) Event' Also Available

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it will issue the local currency ‘Dobong Love Gift Certificate’ worth 12 billion KRW.

The district will start issuing the ‘Dobong Love Gift Certificate’ with a 5% discount from 4 PM on January 16. On the same day, a ‘payback (refund) event’ worth 6 billion KRW will also be held simultaneously.

A district official stated, “Consumers can enjoy a total discount effect of 10% by purchasing the Dobong Love Gift Certificate at a 5% discount and receiving an additional 5% refund through the payback (refund) event.”

The Dobong Love Gift Certificate can be purchased up to 500,000 KRW per person per month via the ‘Seoul Pay Plus (SeoulPay+) app’ and can be used at about 7,000 affiliated stores within Dobong-gu. The validity period is 5 years.

The payback (refund) event applies only to Dobong Love Gift Certificates purchased from April 2024 onwards. The 5% refund will be received as the same gift certificate around the 10th of the following month after using the certificate.

There is no need to apply separately for the refund; just register the gift after receiving the ‘KakaoTalk notification message.’ The event will continue until the budget is exhausted.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “To reduce the burden on residents’ shopping expenses and revitalize the local commercial district, we are conducting the issuance of Dobong Love Gift Certificates along with the payback (refund) event simultaneously. We hope many residents will participate as the discount benefits are abundant.”
