The Netflix 'Squid Game' series has found itself in an awkward situation due to the careless actions of its cast members.

The root of the problem lies entirely in social networking services (SNS). Park Gyu-young, who appeared as the soldier Noeul, posted a photo from the filming site on the 8th and became embroiled in controversy. The photo included another actor wearing a bright pink suit sitting on a folding chair. This outfit is only worn by soldiers and workers in 'Squid Game.' Netizens inferred, based on the faintly visible face and context, that the person was Lee Jin-wook, who played participant Park Kyung-seok in season 2.

Noeul, played by Park Gyu-young, and Park Kyung-seok share the common goal of participating in the game as a soldier and a participant, respectively, to save their daughters. The latter appears to be shot and killed in the final episode of season 2. If the person in the photo is indeed Lee Jin-wook, this scene becomes a fake intended to mislead viewers. Park Gyu-young committed a major spoiler, ruining the enjoyment for the audience.

Many insiders stated, "'Squid Game' was a production that paid great attention to security, delivering scripts to actors through a system that prevented printing or transmission," and added, "This is a matter for which Netflix could demand penalties." Park Gyu-young has remained silent without offering an apology. Her agency, Saram Entertainment, also only repeated that "Since it is the actor's personal SNS, it is difficult to verify. Please check through season 3."

The 'Squid Game' series also suffered from SNS-related troubles on the 30th of last month. Park Sung-hoon, who played the transgender character Hyeon-ju, posted a cover image of a pornographic video parodying 'Squid Game.' He stated that he noticed the image was problematic and intended to send it to the relevant parties but made a mistake. However, the explanation from his agency, BH Entertainment, lacked persuasiveness, escalating the controversy. Park Sung-hoon's explanation to reporters on the 8th was no different.

"I think I was possessed by a ghost. Sometimes when you call someone, or your phone dials itself in your pocket, things like that happen. No matter what I say, it will only sound like an excuse. I made an unbelievable mistake. I feel deeply sorry."

Unlike Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon did not directly harm the production. Rather, it is closer to a personal issue to be resolved. However, when expanding the scope to the upcoming fantasy romance drama 'The Tyrant's Chef,' the story changes. Im Yoon-ah, who was cast early, is diligently preparing by taking cooking lessons for about six months. Director Jang Tae-yoo, who experienced the suspension of the drama 'Saja' during filming, is putting great effort into directing this project.

Park Sung-hoon, who joined late as a lead last month, damaged the efforts and time of those involved before even practicing script reading due to a momentary mistake. An industry insider said, "Calls of protest to the production company are pouring in. There are many voices demanding Park Sung-hoon's withdrawal." Another insider advised, "Since he is a proven actor, it might be better to take some time before choosing his next project."

When asked on the day whether he intended to apologize to Im Yoon-ah and other 'The Tyrant's Chef' staff, Park Sung-hoon remained silent. Regarding questions about his withdrawal, he said, "It is not a matter for me to decide personally. Due to the overall situation, we cannot move forward, so I have nothing more to say."
