The Central Labor Relations Commission announced on the 9th that it published '70 Labor Law Essentials' at the end of last year to mark the 70th anniversary of the commission's establishment, aiming to make it easy for the general public to understand and utilize.
The Labor Relations Commission conducted the publication process in three stages to preserve the significance of the publication and to enhance the accuracy of the topics and content, as well as the readability and usability.
They gathered opinions from commission members and investigators who handle cases to select topics with a high frequency of disputes, formed a group of experts with extensive labor law knowledge and practical experience to draft the first manuscript, which was then reviewed by labor law professors. Additionally, a public verification group consisting of people of various ages and occupations read the manuscript and provided feedback, leading to further revisions.
This book is characterized by setting keywords for each labor law topic to improve search convenience. It covers 70 major topics and presents an average of about three diverse cases per topic, allowing readers to apply the content according to their own situations.
The Labor Relations Commission plans to utilize the book not only for its members and investigators but also for education targeting related workers. Kim Taegi, Chairman of the Labor Relations Commission, stated, "We will supplement '70 Labor Law Essentials' to effectively prevent and resolve disputes and protect the rights of vulnerable groups," adding, "We will strengthen investigation, research, and educational promotion functions."
