Miryang City has set its 2025 main budget at 1.0842 trillion KRW, achieving the significant milestone of surpassing 1 trillion KRW for three consecutive years. This accomplishment was realized through a cooperative system with Gyeongnam Province, central government ministries, and members of the National Assembly, despite the government's sound fiscal policy.

The achievements over approximately nine months since the launch of the 9th municipal administration of the 8th elected term are also noteworthy. Starting with the selection of the first pilot area for the education development special zone, major projects such as the successful hosting of the 63rd Gyeongnam Provincial Sports Festival, designation of Miryang Arirang as a provincial intangible cultural heritage, and the opening of the Changnyeong?Miryang Expressway have borne fruit. In particular, achieving a grade 2 in the comprehensive public institution integrity evaluation served as proof of the transparency and reliability of the city administration.

The year 2025 is expected to be a year of full-scale leap forward. Looking at the key projects proposed by Mayor An, the education and welfare infrastructure will be further strengthened through the Career Education Center and the 24-hour Integrated Care Center scheduled to open in March. In the agricultural sector, linked projects centered on the Smart Farm Innovation Valley will be intensively promoted to complete a "prosperous agricultural city where farmers are happy."

Especially, with the completion of the first phase of the Nano National Industrial Complex in the first half of 2025, large-scale corporate attraction, led by the operation of Samyang Ramen's second factory, is expected to accelerate. Alongside this, Miryang City will also accelerate the creation of a hydrogen-specialized complex as a future growth foundation. Through the opening of hydrogen charging stations, establishment of a hydrogen environmental materials and components enterprise support center, and construction of green hydrogen infrastructure linked to Miryang Dam's small hydropower, the city is preparing to leap forward as an eco-friendly advanced industrial city leading the hydrogen economy era. The expansion of such industrial infrastructure is expected to be a key foundation for Miryang City to secure new future growth engines.

Mayor An emphasized, "The population decline, climate change, and transition to the AI era we currently face are both challenges and opportunities," adding, "Along with the faithful implementation of existing pending projects, we will strive to establish a new policy paradigm that responds to the changes of the times."

He continued, "For achieving innovative municipal goals, active participation of citizens and creative proposals from journalists are essential," expressing his commitment to city administration centered on communication and cooperation.
