On the 9th, Cho Eun-hee, the People Power Party’s floor leader on the National Assembly’s Public Administration and Security Committee, told reporters at the National Investigation Headquarters, “As shown on SNS by Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Sang-sik, there was a fiery messenger role between the National Investigation Headquarters and the Democratic Party,” criticizing, “This constitutes abuse of authority and official confidentiality leakage.”

Woo Jong-su, head of the National Investigation Headquarters, stated, “There is no record of contact with lawmaker Lee, and after verifying with senior superintendents, nothing has been revealed,” he said.

Rep. Cho pointed out, “There are suspicions that the investigation behavior of the National Investigation Headquarters is biased toward the Democratic Party, and procedural fairness and neutrality are necessary,” adding, “A scenario for executing a second arrest warrant is appearing in the media.”

Director Woo said, “The High-ranking Officials’ Crime Investigation Division and the National Investigation Headquarters have not officially consulted on the timing and method of execution,” and added, “The deployment of police special forces, armored vehicles, and helicopters is like a fictional story.”
